Connecting a MacBook to WHS 2011

Today my daughter wanted to connect her New (gently used version 1) MacBook to our server so that she could access the mp3s we have there.  I certainly have never worked on a Mac (well except for the Apple II back in high school) so I had to do some quick searching.  This seemed like an easy task except for a key piece of information when adding the network drive.  This is the web site that I eventually found the correct steps.

Step 3 is to type in the IP address, unfortunately I needed to overwrite the apr or arp letters with "smb".  That apparently was the trick that was needed and was outlined here.  Remember Google is your friend.  Success was achieved and the princess was saved!
